How do I apply for a SRG Finance Cash Loan?

What is the minimum requirement for loan approval?
The requirements for loan approval will vary depending on whether you apply for a Cash Advance or a Personal Loan. See Cash Advance or Personal Loan FAQ.
How long will my loan approval take?
Generally, approval can be made within 2 hours of receiving your application. (In some cases, the requirement for documentation or information may result in longer periods.)
How will I know if my loan application has been approved?
An SRG Finance representative will call you to inform you if your application was successful.
When my loan has been approved, what happens next?
The relevant documents are drawn up and finalised either electronically or by Fax to 1300 318 388. (Simply complete the documents as directed. If you have any problems or need help completing your loan documents, call us on 1300 774 562 for assistance.)
After the loan is finalised, how long does it take to get my money?
If the paperwork is completed and signed before 3PM, (excluding weekends and public holidays) your money will be transferred into your bank account the same day or overnight via electronic funds transfer. You’ll be able to withdraw your money at the latest the next business day.
What if I want cash rather than to have the money paid into my bank account?
Sorry, no. SRG Finance does not handle cash transactions. All funds lent are done via electronic funds transfer into your nominated bank account.
How are my loan repayments made?
All loan repayments are made via direct debit from your nominated bank account on a regular schedule.
Can I make extra repayments on my loan?
Yes! You can make extra repayments with prior arrangements. (Call us to find out how.)
Can I make cash repayments?
No. SRG Finance doesn’t handle any cash transactions. We can only accept payment in the form of a direct debit from your nominated bank account.
What if I can’t make a repayment?
Contact us ASAP. Let us know that the payment cannot be made. We’ll organise an option for you so that alternative payment arrangements can be made.
How will I know when all my repayments have been made and the loan is paid out in full?
SRG Finance provides you with a regular account statement on a 3 monthly basis. We’ll provide you with a letter confirming the payout of your loan.

Personal Loans FAQs
How do I qualify for a Personal Loan?
These are the minimum requirements to apply for a personal loan:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old
- You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- You are required to provide 100 points of identification
- You must pass a credit check (Occasional defaults are OK)
- You must be able to prove residency at your address for at least 3 months
- Applicants must show regular employment for a minimum of 3 months
- Your wages or other remuneration must be paid directly into your bank account by your employer.
- You need to show a minimum of 3 months of bank statements
- Overdraws on your bank account in the last 3 months must be no more than two.
What is the difference between a Personal Loan and a Cash Advance?
A Cash Advance does not require a credit check or other types of documentation. This sort of loan is usually repaid in 1 – 2 months (up to 62 days). A personal loan must have a Credit Check, includes bankruptcy status qualifications, and is repaid over a longer period.
How much money can I borrow?
SRG Finance personal loans are up to $2500. Please note that the amount you can borrow is assessed in terms of your income. Repayments are calculated to avoid financial hardship to borrowers.
How long do I get to repay the loan?
Repayment terms for personal loans are from 3 months – 12 months. The term is calculated based on the amount borrowed. Call us on 1300 774 562 for more information.
How long does it take for my loan to be approved?
Usually within 2 hours from the receipt of your information and bank statements. Mostly it is quicker than this but sometimes it may take a little longer if it’s necessary to obtain additional documentation.
Why do I have to supply bank statements?
SRG Finance supports Responsible Lending Practices. To accurately assess your application we need the information on your bank statement to ensure that you can repay the loan without financial hardship.
I do not have access to a scanner or camera to upload my identification and bank statements via the online application page.
If you have internet banking SRG Finance can send you a link where you can enter your internet banking details and have your statement sent directly to us from your bank.
If not Call us on 1300 774 562 to arrange an alternative method to supply this information. (You can photocopy or ID and bank statements and fax them directly to us on 1300 318 388, if that’s easier for you.)
What do I do if I don’t have a Drivers Licence or Medicare Card as ID?
Easy! We also accept ATM Cards, Utility Bills, Pension Cards, Credit Cards and Club Cards as forms of ID. If unsure what you can use for your ID, call us on 1300 774 562.
I am on a pension. How much can I borrow?
SRG Finance can arrange a loan for you if you are on a pension, the amount advanced will be calculated on your personal earnings and capacity to make repayments.
I am on a government benefit other than that of a pension. Can you supply me with finance?
No, sorry, we can’t. We can only consider pensioner applications, not benefit recipients.
Cash Advance FAQs
What’s the difference between a Cash Advance and a Personal Loan?
These are actually quite different loans. A Cash Advance is a very short term loan, repaid over a 6 week period (less than 62 days). A Personal Loans repayment period is for a higher amount, over a longer term, usually 3 – 6 months. Criteria for lending are also different.
How do I qualify for an SRG Finance Cash Advance?
- You must be at least 18 years old
- Citizenship or Australian residency: You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- You’re required to provide 100 points of identification

How much money can I borrow from a Cash Advance?
The amount you can borrow depends on your income. The information you provide is used to assess your ability to repay the Cash Advance. Until this information is supplied to SRG Finance, we can’t assess how much you can borrow.
When will my Cash Advance be approved?
In most cases it takes less than 2 hours for approval. Loan approval is dependent on the documentation you provide. Sometimes further information is required, or we may need to confirm details with your employer.
Is there any way I can I speed up approval of my Cash Advance?
Yes. Inform your payroll officer and tell them that we will be contacting them. Please also inform them that we will require confirmation of your employment, your address and bank details.
I am on Newstart, Youth Allowance or a similar benefit. Can I get a Cash Advance?
No. We do give some cash advances to recipients of recognised Australian pensions.
Do I need to have paid off my current Cash Advance before I can get another?
Yes. We don’t allow rollovers for cash advances.
SRG Prepaid Visa Card FAQs
Can I get a SRG Cash Flash VISA Card with a Cash Advance?
Yes. SRG Cash Flash VISA Cards are available to Cash Advance customers. You will be issued a SRG Cash Flash VISA Card when you take out your SRG Cash Advance and indicated you wish to receive the card.
What’s the difference between a VISA Prepaid Card, a VISA Debit Card, and a VISA Credit Card?
Your SRG Cash Flash VISA card is a VISA Prepaid Card. A VISA Prepaid Card must be preloaded with an amount of money for your use. Once this amount has been used, it needs more funds to be loaded. Please note: The SRG Cash Flash VISA card is not linked to your bank account. In contrast, a VISA Debit Card is directly linked to your bank account. A VISA Credit Card is actually a line of credit, issued to you by a credit provider including an available cash limit and scheduled repayments and charges.
Why are SRG Cash Flash VISA Cards usually only available to Cash Advance customers?
Your SRG Cash Flash VISA Card has a limit of $1000.00 that may be stored on the card at any one time. As most personal loans are for more than this amount, we are unable to supply them to Personal Loan customers.
My Personal Loan is for less than $1000. Can I get a SRG Cash Flash VISA Card?
Yes. If you make a special request to SRG Finance and your loan amount is under $1000, we will be happy to issue you with a card.
How do I receive my SRG Cash Flash VISA Card?
Your card is sent through Australia Post to your current residential address.
How do I validate my SRG Cash Flash VISA Card?

Are there other fees associated with the SRG Cash Flash VISA Card?
Yes. Some fees are not controlled by SRG Finance and we have tried our best to keep them low. Please refer to the VISA Card Terms and Conditions for more information on these fees.
Can I use my SRG Cash Flash VISA Card in an ATM?
Yes. It’s like a normal VISA card. You can withdraw cash from any participating ATM in Australia.
Can I use my SRG Cash Flash VISA Card to make purchases over the Internet?
Yes. Anywhere VISA is accepted. Please note, important: The merchant has the right to decide whether they will accept the card.
Can I use my SRG Cash Flash VISA Card to make purchases through EFTPOS?
Yes, provided the merchant has agreed to accept VISA Prepaid Cards.
Can I get cash out via EFTPOS?
No. Cash can only be withdrawn from the card using an ATM.
Once I have used the funds on the card, can more funds be added?
Yes. You must keep your SRG Cash Flash VISA Card should you wish to take out any future loans with SRG Finance. New loan amounts may be added to your card. Your card can be used more than once and you can also add your own funds to the card if you wish.
Can I add funds to my VISA Prepaid Card?
Yes. This is a simple electronic funds transfer via “Pay – Anyone” on your internet banking, exactly like a normal EFT. Use the BSB and account number that is on the back of the card.
What do I do if my card is Lost or Stolen?
Contact SRG Finance immediately so we can place a stop on your card. A replacement card can be supplied for a small fee. See SRG Cash Flash VISA Card Terms and Conditions.
What do I do if my card is damaged?
Contact SRG Finance to arrange a replacement card for a small fee, as specified in the SRG Cash Flash VISA Card Terms and Conditions.
What do I do if I suspect fraudulent activity on my card?
Contact SRG Finance immediately. We’ll place a stop on the card for you and issue you with a new card. We will investigate the fraudulent activity in accordance with the SRG Cash Flash VISA Card Terms and Conditions.
