Credit Guide

This Credit Guide provides important information about the products that SRG Finance offers to clients, which are regulated by the ASIC under the National Credit Code.

SRG Finance Consumer lending products include:

  • Personal loans $500 – $3000
  • Cash Advance loans $100 – $1200
  • Secured loans up to $10,000

SRG Finance General Obligations

SRG Finance will not, as a credit provider:

  • Enter into a contract with you or increase your maximum credit amount if we deem the contract to be unsuitable for you.

This assessment will be done through the SRG Finance Credit Assessment.

On what basis will the Credit Contract be deemed unsuitable?

The Credit Contract will be deemed unsuitable if:

  • it does not meet your requirements or objectives
  • it is likely that entering into the credit contract will place undue hardship on your financial obligations
  • in the opinion of SRG Finance, you will not be able to meet your obligations under the contract.

How can you obtain a copy of the SRG Finance Credit Assessment?

Should your credit application be approved, you can contact SRG Finance on 1300 774 562 and request a copy. SRG Finance will provide a copy to you within the following time-frame:

Request made before the date the credit contract is entered into:
  • As soon as is practicably possible after the request has been made.
Up to 2 years from when the credit contract was entered into:
  • Within 7 business days after we receive your request.
From 2 to 7 years from the date your credit contract was entered into:
  • Within 21 business days after we receive your request.

SRG Finance is not required to supply you with a Credit Assessment if the application was declined or the contract you requested was entered into before 1 January 2011.

As a customer of SRG Finance, do I have other rights and obligations?

Yes, as a customer of SRG Finance you do have other rights and obligations that are clearly detailed within the SRG Finance Credit Contract. Please ensure that you fully read and understand your credit contract before signing it. Once it is signed, it is a legally binding document.

What if I have a complaint?

Should you find that you have a complaint, SRG Finance requests that you talk to us first by calling 1300 774 562 to discuss your complaint with our customer service representative.

Your complaint can also be forwarded to us by mail or by email to the addresses contained within this document under ‘Contact Details’.

Your complaint will be handled within the scope of the SRG Finance Internal Dispute Resolution Procedures.

What do I do if I am still unhappy with the outcome determined by SRG Finance?

SRG Finance aims to resolve any dispute at your first point of contact with SRG Finance. However, if SRG Finance has not been able to resolve your complaint you may contact our External Dispute Resolution Scheme (EDRS).
